The Gimp Toolbox

Let’s take a closer look at the Gimp toolbox!

Move your mouse cursor over the toolbox photo until the arrow turns into the hand symbol and get to know the most important tools, which we will use in the next few pages!

The Google Toolbox

Selection tool With the selection tool you can select areas in the photo. You can also select elliptical areas by clicking on the Elliptical Selection tool.

Free selection Using the lasso, you can select parts of the photo by circling them.

Crop With the crop tool you can select certain parts of the photo. The parts of the photo that are selected will be highlighted. The parts of the photo that are not selected are darker.

Rotate With the rotate tool you can rotate the photo.

The patch You can use the patch to cover up skin blemishes.

The A In Gimp you can write texts on the photo by clicking on this icon.
