Quality and Quality Assurance

In our daily lives we get constant feedback and therefore can choose to improve ourselves. The same goes for e-learning, and we will look at this under the term “quality”. Quality, in this case encompasses all criteria and characteristics which can help to fulfill certain predetermined requirements, i.e.: You can let the participants of your course evaluate the contents of your learning unit in order to improve it. For example. they can evaluate the learning unit according to…

  • Suitability: “Is this topic right for this/that target group?”
  • Requirements: “Did this learning unit teach me what it said it would?””

The better your learning unit is, the more people will want to read it and the more people you can reach.

Such quality controls ought to be performed regularly, to ensure that the contents of your learning modules are up to date and presented in the best way possible.
