Chapter 4 (b)

What do you need to have before you begin?

Fresh multi-purpose compost

Perlite

Clean pot or container

Top half of 2 litre mineral water bottle, with the lid removed

Hormone rooting gel (I find gel safer to use than powder)

Small secateurs

Labels and marker pen or pencil

Mixture  –  2 parts compost : 1 part perlite

Moisten the mixture. until it just holds the shape of your hand when squeezed, but no water drips from between your fingers.
