Certificates – Medical Reports, References required for the Orphans

The medical officer would have examined the chosen girls and would have placed them under treatment for cutaneous diseases like acne or other conditions affecting the skin, nails, hair and muscles. He would also have insured they were inoculated against smallpox. Each girl would have to bring their certificate of inoculation with them, plus their references from the their particular Master and Matron.
